Trent O’Donnell is a director, creator and writer who has worked extensively in the US and Australia. Most recently he directed the season two finale of 'Hacks' for HBO Max and was set up director for the hit comedy 'Ghosts' for CBS.
Trent is the creator, director, co-writer and executive producer of 'No Activity' for Paramount Plus. He is the co-creator, writer and director of 'A Moody Christmas' which was remade in the US by CBS for Fox, and 'Review with Myles Barlow', which was remade in the US as 'Review' on Comedy Central.
He was the producing director of Fox’s hit comedy 'New Girl' for four seasons. His episodic work includes 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine', 'The Good Place', 'The Letdown', 'Colin from Accounts', 'Grace & Frankie', 'A.P Bio', 'Saved by the Bell', 'Problems', 'Woodley', 'Laidand' and many others. He recently co-wrote and directed the feature film ‘Ride the Eagle’ with Jake Johnson, Susan Sarandon and JK Simmons.
He has won multiple Best Comedy AACTAs, Best Comedy at SPA, Best Comedy Writers Guild Awards and Best Ensemble Comedy Awards.
